Finding a balance between IT Pro, Developer and being business focused as an RD #9

As the "RD" nomination is not something customers, partners or even Microsoft knows about I sometimes struggle to differentiate between all the roles. There is the traditional IT Pro for all things Microsoft, and the developer mindset for actually building things out of thing air. And as RDs are often considered seniors or principals, there's the business and sales angle as well.

I've found a sort of solace between the junction of these but I'm also keen to hear from the experience of others.

My flight was cancelled and the only way out from the US for me before Build is to take the flight noon tomorrow, so I won't be making Unconference, sadly. Should this topic be part of the event I hope there are enough RDs with thoughts around this topic as I feel it is still important, despite me being in economy enjoying the free coffee.
