Description

Epic for planning and tracking all tasks for v2.0.0.

Initiative / goal

Implement a MVP consistent with initial specification doc diagram provided by @craigdrown (see #2 for background discussion).

Scope

MVP architecture consists of multiple interrelated but self-contained modules:

• Data service:
  • Data provider, i.e. source-of-truth for all UC data.
  • DGraph database backend, data stored as recursive graph structure.
  • Fastify + Apollo server exposes data as GraphQL objects.
  • External data exposed via custom resolvers, e.g. drug interactions.
• Legacy API:
  • RESTful API for accessing data service.
  • Exposes UC data via v1 endpoints and facilitates communication between protocols.
  • Provides backwards compatibility layer which supports legacy UI and existing versions of mSupply.
• Web UI:
  • Provides access to UC data via user-friendly web interface.
  • Supports browsing/searching existing data + submitting new/updated UC data.
  • Includes admin portal for viewing/approving submitted data.

@mark-prins @katherine-sussol I think this covers the basic scope pretty succinctly. I've updated the epics and projects to be a bit clearer that they are tracking progress for v2.0.0. Feedback welcome!
