Hi Andrew,

Can you provide more details on the issue you are experiencing ?

Or maybe it's similar to this one ?

Hi! It is not the forum thread i think.

I have only two tour type, both is available in Strava: Hike and Ride as you can see on prtsc. But if send them to strava by upload, both will be ride on the other side, whatever the content. Why?

Andrew,

I think your issue is similar. From my investigation, all your activities import to Strava as "Ride" because your Tour Type "Hike" is different than what Strava expects : "Hiking" (see their doc here) and therefore Strava defaults it to "Ride"

I think the solution in your case would be to rename your Tour Type "Hike" to "Hiking". Can you try and let me know if it works ?

Otherwise, creating a tour type mapping like I depicted in the thread I mentioned above would allow not to rename your tour types and map each of them to a Strava tour type. Feel free to create a feature request for that

Hi Frederic, thanks for the answer, it was really my mistake... But i'm a bit confused, because the Strava documentation is talking about 'Ride' and 'Hike' as possible activity types on every other sites.

The hiking works, and it is enough for me, i think no need for mapping development in MT.

Hi Andrew,

But i'm a bit confused, because the Strava documentation is talking about 'Ride' and 'Hike' as possible activity types on every other sites.

Indeed, those activity names are the official Strava activity names but when sending TCX files to Strava (the file format MT uses when uploading tours), then Strava only supports the list of activity types specified there

I hope that helps. Let me know if it does and I will close this bug.
