Search/Comparison by "key GPS points" #169

Hi, MTB has great features, but one i really miss is the possibility to compare tours or tour portions, for which the track is passing by specific GPS points. if one knows the ST3 plugging "Trails", it is almost the same feature needed at it basic usage : 1- Define a reference "trail" or "tour" by defining Key GPS points in a certain order 2- Make the ability to find / select in MTB all the tours which are passing by all these points (with some error radius parameter), and in the same order (or reverse, or both)

Unless i missed it in MTB, i try to use the geographic search, but the minimum geographic area for search is still too big, and found tours are all tours that have points inside, and not those which are passing by a specific path. Also, the altitude search seems not usable, for this particular and precise search.

Does it makes sense ? Clear enough or need more details ? I don't need more "comparison" tools, just an extra and efficient way to select tours.

Thanks, and, as many others, i had some fears to switch from ST3 to MTB, but no regrets ;)

Yep, i tested, but not deeper enough i think :( I have retryied, and it seems to be quite good :) i will play with it more completely to set up some known "Referenced Tours" and see. Thanks to have pointed it to me (it makes me doubt ;) )

I have tested, and it works pretty well   is there any way to select multiple tours in the geocompare result view to edit them massively?

Tours in the geocompare result view have currently not any actions, massively tour editing is supported in the tourbook view

Hello, After quite a long testing phase :) i think it is working really nicely. But i really wonder how to manage to do something : How to filter the GeoDelta% column to only show those inferior to xx% (which means that those tours matches well my search), and then be able to sort other column only with this list ? Concrete example : i would like to find the fastest tour on a specific reference split : I create a referenced tour for this split, find in Geocompare, but if i sort the moving time column, i get the minimum time of ALL tour found and not those which really match my split. Does it make sense ? is it currently possible ? thanks.

Does it make sense ?

Yes

is it currently possible ?

No, can you create a feature request for this

There are so many features in MT and each of them has the potential to improve it.
