Sharing 3D models for the future use #1

I am not sure those belong in this GIT repo, but here they are. We might possibly change the perspective, style, colors, etc., so updating large binaries in GIT sounds bad.

If you know a good place for such models, this might be useful.

(License for the models remains as CC-0.)

Nice work :+1:

define "large" i've seen worse than those ~10 mb i don't think those are really misplaced in the git repo IMO

It's not about 10 mb, I think .blend files are using some archive format (not sure if it's zip or something else) as a model container. 10 changes might grow very fast.

I'll add them here after #2 is closed. 🙂

Can these models be uploaded to github wiki pages, could try that? Not sure what file size limits it adds but I think it allows to store whatever files you want.

Possibly also upload to sites like blendswap.com (semi-official?) / free3d.com (allows downloads without registration) and add links here to readme.

Yes, that'll work.

That sounds good, too. We can use our own page style and preview style, too. :-)

Alright, I'll start soon with trying the second.
