Matlab locks on a few datasets

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the following urls:
  >> target ='http://www.usgodae.org:8081/thredds/dodsC/testAll/2004050300_eta_211.nc ';
  >> target = 'http://192.168.31.13/thredds/dodsC/Model/FNMOC/this_month_transport.nc'
2. Open the dataset
  >> ds  = ncdataset(target)
3. Matlab locks (can't [ctrl]+c out of it

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

We don't expect it to hang, that's for sure.
