I had the same problem. It's still broken with the newest firmware.
I was able to enable sharing folders on a usb stick. I then unplugged the usb
stick and replaced it with the Toshiba external drive. I can access files now,
but the web GUI is still broken.

I have the same problem with firmware 1.0.1.8e. It
recognizes my WD drives but not any of my two
Toshiba 2 TB USB 3.0 PH3200U-1E3S.
Are you planning to fix this?

Thanks

Seems to be fixed with the new GUI (tested with firmware 1.1.2.2-005)

The issue still exist. I have a portable 500GB drive which is working
correctly, GUI looks normal and everything works just fine.

BUT, when I plug in my 2TB Lacie Porsche P'9230 (which is named NAS) the web UI
gets immediately broken.

I've tested this with the latest firmwares 1.1.2.2-006 and official 1.0.1.8i,
both have the same problem.

RT-N56U should support 2TB drives, no prob with that, but what about USB 3?
Even if the cable and drive is USB 2 compatible so there shouldn't be a problem
either.

Anyone figured this out yet?
