transmission won't run on a NTFS USB drive #866

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect a NTFS USB drive to router
2. create a "transmission" directory on the drive
3. enable transmission on the application page
4. select the "web control"
5. web page will not load

What is the expected output?
Expect to see the transmission web interface.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RT-N65U FW 3.0.3.6-061

Please describe the problem as detailed as it's possible.
Checking the /mnt directory there is no link to /media/750GB/transmission (The
USB drive name is 750GB)

Using a ext formatted USB drive and with the "transmission" directory it works
fine.

This was a feature added as of the 061 update I assume for performance reasons.

- Restricted Transmission and Aria2 target partitions to EXT2/EXT3/EXT4/XFS
only.

WTF!?!?!?!

I had no issues running Transmission on NTFS partitions. Performance was good,
no corruption of the partition, etc.

Now the DLNA .dms directory on a NTFS partition... Yea, that will F-up a NTFS
partition no problem and Pavadan allows it.
