You can use AirCard 320U in RAS mode.
NDIS mode for Sierra modems is untested. I do not have this modems for debuging.

I tried AirCard 320U in RAS mode many times, but it also failed.
It even fails to lookup WANIP. Anyways, I attach logs under RAS mode(the router
is reset in advance)

Sierra AirCard 320U have two interfaces with INT pipe - ttyUSB2 and ttyUSB3.
Autodetect selected first interface with int pipe (ttyUSB2) and it not worked
(Connect script failed). Go to USB Application - Modem:
Select interface: ttyUSB3

Try to disable HW_NAT (on WAN page) in NDIS mode with Aircard 320U.
HW_NAT also currently used for usbnet and sierra_net probably has tx_fixup
issue with hw_nat.
