Idea for USB #969

Wasn't sure where to submit this so please forgive me if im way off track here
:)

I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a support for USB adapter
such as popular ALFA AWUS036NHA on the RT-N56U ports? It work with 3GG modems
so why not with WiFi devices?

It would allow the router to add additional coverage since most USB adapters
allow custom antennas (unlike the RT-N56U) and ccould be used to connect to a
further AP (if router is used as AP and not gateway).

So what do you think? :)

There are lots of chips, on which such devices can be based. Each chip needs a
driver, in order to operate properly.
I haven't used 802.11ac devices, but as for me, I still prefer to connect
devices with wire where it is possible.
So, you can try to add required kernel modules to firmware, device chipset
driver source code and build a firmware you need...
