GUI 3D blues: should background always be black? #20

If I check "use optical illusion's original colors" the background of the image becomes black and the explanatory text describes the illusion as happening with a dark background. However, unless dark mode is checked, the image has a white background for all the color palettes. Should the image always have a black background?

Good point, also thought about it. But I am not 100% sure this effect will never happen with a white background.
