OK, now this is a suggestion.

English is the default language on Jnet, and I understand that. Sometimes, we communicate with our opponents in the default language, and we realize (or not) after a moment that we actually are from the same country or share a common language.

I think it would be very useful if there was a tag close to the players’ names stating the languages they speak, just like the pronouns.

I am trying to understand how to implement such feature. There is already a language property in the account but that is the language for the UI, not necessarily the language spoken by the user. For instance, I prefer playing in English while I speak French.

Does it make sense to introduce a new account property, like the pronouns and display it in a similar fashion. What do you think?

I think a new property is necessary. Firstly for the reason you mention, and secondly because some people speak two, three, four languages or even more
