I used "Multiple Inboxes" as my default layout. I tried all the other "inbox types" and the button shows, but not with Multiple Inboxes.

Hey @eliasgomezsainz, thanks for reporting this. I've verified the bug and will try to get a fix in this week or next. Also, feel free to submit a PR yourself if interested and I'll merge it.

Has this been resolved? I'm attempting to use this extension in the same way with multiple inboxes as my view

Hi @lamorteelectric1570, I looked into this but didn't find an easy solution. I'd like to look into it more in the future, however given my personal time constraints it may not be feasible. If you are interested in submitting a PR for it, I will definitely take a look! In any case, sorry to hear this isn't working for your gmail setup.
