Cannot connect to world (from outside my network) #35

I have installed the MC server on Synology DS920+ but I am unable to connect to the game from outside my network. Within the network all works fine.

I have done the port forwarding (using default ports 19132), when I test of the port is reachable using https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ I can confirm that the port is open. Tried of laptop and Android device still no luck.

I have followed the resolution under case #21 but that didn't solve it for me. I tried disabling firewall on the Synology device all together and router but no luck still. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Resolved: I found out the issue to be with the way I was testing/trying to use the game from external.

  1. On android device the game was only allowed to use WIFI network so when I was trying to use it on cellular it was erroring out.
  2. Using a computer from inside the network and point it out to my public IP or DDNS name is not supposed to work.

Hopefully this will help someone in the future.
