Error while refreshing the UPD #1396

Hello,

I'm trying to connect an account from the DKB by FINTS 3.0, and this error appears. Fehler beim Aktualisieren der UPD aka. Error while refreshing the UPD

@hubortje Thank you for the report. Could you describe in more detail at which step of the setup procedure, the error appears?

Embarrassing, I hadn't had notifications enabled!

When I chose "Add Bank" and enter the HBCI-Version (FinTS 3.0), the bank code, and my login, the error appears after a brief loading time.

Hey, I've tried it again, and it works fine with other banks, but not DKB. As I moved from DKB, the issue is resolved for myself. I'll keep it open though, as the issue itself is not resolved.

One question regarding usage, should the FINTS connection regularly update the transactions or do I have to do something manually?

@hubortje Sorry for not reacting earlier. DKB does work for me with a recent version (3.8.6.1). There might have been problems in earlier versions. Could you mention which banks are working for you? My Expenses does not update transaction data on its own, since, at the moment, it does not store the password. You have to trigger the update from the menu with the command "Update transactions (FinTS).

Thank you for the explanation! MLP works for me, and I can connect to 1822direkt, but cannot find my Tagesgeldkonto. Maybe DKB does not work, because it's a shared bank account?

Thanks for the feedback, I am adding icons for banks that are reported to work (#1273). It is possible that DKB handles shared accounts differently. If you still have access to that account, it would be interesting, if you could activate debug logging, as explained in https://github.com/mtotschnig/MyExpenses/wiki/FAQ%3A-Synchronization#synchronization-stopped-working-how-can-i-find-out-why and were willing to share, that might be helpful. After restarting the app, and trying to connect to the bank, there should be an entry (Banking-latest.log) in the log folder.

Hey @mtotschnig,

I've just sent you a mail with the log. The error has changed to “error while fetching new sysid from institute”.
