FWIW: as of release v0.32.0 of ytt , the --ignore-unknown-comments flag is no longer needed.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't looked at the 1.3.x extensions closely yet, but I don't know if extension-installer is worth updating now that the kapp-controller is automagically deployed.
