Ok. Fedora 38 gnome or kde? There's a bug with the file picker displaying the icons. So far the work around is to open up file browser and wait till all and newly added pictures are cached. Only after doing this the icon preview will display properly in the file picker (gnome 38)

@tolgerok I always go for the KDE version, because I don't like gnome.

@mtwb47 Thank you for your input. I have observed that whenever I try to open Microsoft Word or Excel from a remote location, such as my USB on the router or from my W11 server using Dolphin, the office suite that I use (such as WPS, MyOffice or LibreOffice) crashes and cannot be opened for editing from the networked location. However, I haven't faced the same problems while opening the documents with a GNOME-based file selector/browser. I'm wondering if I'm overlooking or doing something wrong. Can you share your thoughts on this?

BTW what distro you back on? Debian with kde or? Have you looked into Nobara37-kde?
