Problem using VST/VST3 version on MacOS #287

Hi.

First of all let me say thank you for this Plugin. It sounds great and it has awesome capabilities and a great intuitive UI! Unfortunately I'm having a problem as the software isn't working well with MacOS. The AU version and the Standalone version runs fine, but I need the VST/VST3 version as I change between a Mac and a Windows Desktop. It appears like this:

this

And the only button that works is the Helm one. Nothing works. I tried on native retina screen, on a Full HD one and on a 4K one and it's looking always like this, I can't even rescale the plugin after appearing the menu.

I'm using FL Studio, if that helps. I'm using a 2019 15'' Macbook Pro with Big Sur 11.2.1 installed.

Can I give more information in order to help you?

Thank you so much in advance.

Best Regards, Eduardo

It seems that the entire interface no longer works on Big Sur - just white.

M1 Pro user here. Ableton doesn't even load VST/VST3 Helm anymore (unless Ableton is running via Rosetta, which I'm guessing enables 32 bit compatibility).

The AU version works fine, but it's a tad annoying working with old projects because the workflow to convert Helm VST instances to AU instances is:

  1. Tick Open using Rosetta on Ableton.
  2. Open the project.
  3. Save the Helm patch as a preset.
  4. Replace VST with AU.
  5. Load the preset.
  6. Close the project.
  7. Untick Open using Rosetta. Repeat for every project.

Ideally, Helm's VST versions would be updated to work on newer Macs.

I mean, you don't need to. The AU version works (on my machine, at least).
