Describe the bug My oneplus nord 2t updated itself to oxygenos 14 now coffee is not able to keep the display on I tried the alternate mode, but that did not help

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: I'm not sure if thos is android 14 or oxygenos14 related, so reproducing without an oneplus device might tricky

Try this, may help : )

Go Settings > Apps > Default apps > Digital assistant app and change it to Coffee. Then the app's fully functioning on my 1+ 9rt, with OOS 14.

The directory to the setting may vary due to differences in device, but you may also reach it by searching for digital in Settings' search box. I hope that'll work. (But that seemed to make the Google assistant stop working? I don't know if it will because I don't use it currently.)

Note: You may also need to enable 'Use text from screen' or/and 'Use screenshot' in the 'Digital assistant app' page.

Sorry for my bad English. May you, if having some time, point out the grammar errors or strange grammar in my comment because I'm currently learning English? That will be very kind of you. Thanks in advance. Good day.

Hello

Try this, may help : )

Go Settings > Apps > Default apps > Digital assistant app and change it to Coffee. Then the app's fully functioning on my 1+ 9rt, with OOS 14.

Note: You may also need to enable 'Use text from screen' or/and 'Use screenshot' in the 'Digital assistant app' page.

That was already set, I tried "to turn it off and on again" by choosing "none" as digital assistsant and back to coffee. Switched coffee on (2h in my setting) but it switch off the screen after 30seconds. The 2 settings are enabled also. Coffee is still counting down the timer after turning the screen back on manually.

Hi ~ I think this time I've got close enough to the final solution ( maybe? ) of the problem. 😂

The only thing that you need to do now, if I was right, is to make the app ( Coffee ) be able to running in background--allow background activity. Tutorial are at the end of this comment. You may also need to lock the app in the app switcher.

I mean this: app-lock-settings

All the settings that I currently using are listed as pictures below. There's also a tutorial for enabling the allowance of background activity.

I've tested it for 15 minutes, toggled form the statusbar. For the first 6 mins, I 'used' Spotify, and Google message for the rest 9. As this 2 apps won't keeping the screen on usually, I think it works really well now.

Hope you could make it as I did. With regards.
