Either we auto-switch to the actual polling-month after the user picks an 'invalid' month, or we limit the selection to the next couple of months and disable each 2nd month. First is a bit uglier but probably easier to implement.
Another idea: We show only the dates when the vote starts as selection options, so something like:
15.3. , 15.5., 15.7, 15.9., etc.
It is probably enough to simply display the next three periods as radio buttons instead of a month picker.
We currently have a running small grants proposal that should start in mid May and then run for two weeks together with all other small grants proposals.
However, voting appears to be starting on 30 April, according to admin overview of running proposals.
It HAS TO start in mid-May. Is this just a display error, or will voting actually start too early?
Yes, this sounds like a display error. Investigating.
Also, the email that erroneously went out should not have read "Link to downvote:..."
For Small Grants this should read "Link to vote".
Below that, we could add:
"Each participant has two weeks to select their two favourite proposals, and at the end of that two-week polling period, the two proposals with the most votes will be funded."
Or, better: https://github.com/muesli/polly/issues/19
Make it so it reflects the actual polling-month.
