Reason is that within commerical trips not the offerer does not want to give the participants full rights to change and edit the adventure. Only the owner can do this. Usually the travel agents decides on who joins the adventure not the group. For such trips it is unusual that the participants know about each other upfront as this may cause problems to the agent.
Gender, age and origin must not be shared between participants, only the owner may see this.
