batch runs but no results no errors #28

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. slotted all variables in fine - program location, DB location, mail
acct & pw, user security off, even turned off local DB encryption
2. run batch, CMD window pops, says starting, bunch of text flashes too
fast to read and CMD window closes
3. Gmail Calendar r'cvs nothing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
thought it would just port info to

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.0.1, Notes 7, XP Pro

Please provide any additional information below.
It looked easy even though I'm not a code guru by any means, it even looks
like it's working, no errors, but nothing happens... Help?

Follow-up - okay, after 2 days of messing with it, I tried adding the folder to
the
relative path of the mail file/user DB. That got me a step further so now I
see it
says "executing insert: <'myevent'>. But then it just stops and the CMD window
closes and the item doesn't post to GoogleCal. I just don't get what's wrong?
I
did run across a prompt for PW when I closed Notes, but that was rectified by
re-
opening. But at that point, I'm tunnled into work. Maybe they're knocking the
successful process down as it comes past them...?

Same here, I think I set everything up well, but when I run the bat file it
just pops
up, I can see that some lines being displayed, but too fast to read them, and
then
the window closes. No results in my google calendar :(

- edit your syncnotes2google.bat file
- change first line to:

rem @echo off
....
set path=%path%;%notes-path%
java -classpath %cPath% com.googlecode.syncnotes2google.SyncNotes2Google
- add "pause", so the window will remain open
pause

I'm having the same problem. Batch file runs, but I do see an exception that
I'm
not sure how to resolve. Admittedly, I know little about Java and some of the
command line script used here. Also curious as to why (or how) the set path
takes
an inventory of my program files directory.

I'd really love to get this thing to work. I've pasted my batch file results
below. Thanks.

Anyone got any ideas on this one? Not sure how this is a low priority when we
can't
get it to work at all. Thanks in advance for any insights.

It is a low prio since it is a classpath issue.
The classpath is split up by spaces so try to put " around the %cPath% on the
last
line like this:
java -classpath "%cPath%" com.googlecode.syncnotes2google.SyncNotes2Google

and remove them from this line set cPath=%cPath%;"%notes-path%\%notes-jar%"
like
this:
set cPath=%cPath%;%notes-path%\%notes-jar%

It might do the thing, if not you have to fix the class path in some other way.

That did the trick. Thanks for the helpful response. Is there a log
somewhere? I
did notice as I was watching it run that there was an error, but didn't catch
all of
it.

Thanks again.

Put a pause statement at the end of the bat file and the results will stay
visible
untill you press any key.
