[core] Fix React 17 cron test and setup reporting #43153

The React 17 cron test is failing (for example: https://app.circleci.com/pipelines/github/mui/material-ui/135112/workflows/8d17d057-14b2-4881-90a4-245f820a58af), we need to fix it.

We should also set up some kind of reporting so we get a notification when it fails.

Hey @Mtjpp! Thanks for reaching out. This is a complex issue, and I'm afraid it is not suited for new contributors. You might have a bad time trying it. I would recommend looking for issues with the "good first issue" label, which could be better suited.
