Hi @raymonda background levels are used in coordination with the shadow levels—if you check the
elevation you'll notice these two are tied together. Dark mode has different background colors depending on the level. Light does not, which is why all are #FFF. Hope this helps! (edited)
Please can you explain how the paper-elevation background colors are generated and how it is used in figma.
In the MUI theme creator, there's option to set background "Default" and "paper" (which i assume is the "paper-elevation-0" on figma).
But how is paper-elevation-1 - 24 generated and where can it be used?
Right now paper-elevation-1 - 24 are all set to #FFFFFF in the Figma local variable "light mode", which doesn't explain anything.
