Motivation 🔦

I'm opening this issue about 2 years ahead of when I would expect it to be relevant. Also, I think that this should be owned by the community, per https://mui-org.notion.site/Strategy-6945959c64cc4c7784cbe2770bd9772d#41ea20c71e6144b79b93268545060407
