Stuck, only to find VERY high gas fee #11

My transaction from DFI to BNB got stuck and it took a me a while to figure out the recovery function and to get my numbers correct for it. It was only 30$ value or so but when i recover and hit the button to 'mint on bnb' it shows gas fees nearing 100. Have i done something wrong? Getting DFI from bnb to the Defichain worked fine for me, but getting it back seems to be a lot of trouble. Metamask has a warning that the transaction may fail, would i like to continue?

I had thought to try to put 100 worth of BNB on my wallet because it also gives a message about not being able to calculate the cost of gas. So maybe it wants it in there but wont take it all, I'm hesitant to end up trading 100 for the 30 i had originally put in.

I never was able to resolve the issue. The recovery option still sends me with a minting contract that requires 86$ worth of bnb to accept.
