I see a help line for noapplespecial in the output of sshfs -h.
What do you mean by "comparable to sshfs-static..."? Are you guys compiling
your own sshfs-static? If so, I'd
suggest using the one distributed on this site, unless there's a very good
reason not to.

-o kill_on_unmount kernel will send a signal (SIGKILL by default) to the
daemon after unmount finishes
-o noapplespecial ignore Apple Double (._) and .DS_Store files entirely
-o noauthopaque set MNTK_AUTH_OPAQUE in the kernel
Curious: the entry is clearly visible now, so please set this issue to invalid.
It's possible that I was erroneously searching for
noappledouble
in the help text. Just a guess.
