[spotlightFS]: Unable to create directories. #223

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start spotlightfs
2. Go to the terminal and try to create a folder with "mkdir
/Volumes/SpotlightFS/fisk"
3. Now try with "sudo mkdir /Volumes/SpotlightFS/fisk"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What I expect is to get a new folder on the fs, but instead
on step 2 I get "mkdir: /Volumes/SpotlightFS/fisk: Permission denied"
and on step 3 we got "mkdir: /Volumes/SpotlightFS/fisk: Operation not permitted"

Also, I do not get any errors in the systemslogs, all I get is theese lines:

2007-06-21 11:39:04.801 SpotlightFS[6588] mounting on: /Volumes/SpotlightFS
kextload: /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext loaded
successfully

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

MacFuse-Core 0.4.0
Spotlightfs 0.1.0
Osx: 10.4.9

Please provide any additional information below.

SpotlightFS is unsupported (and marked as such), so please do not open formal
issues for it here. The macfuse-
devel forum would be a better place to discuss any problems you might have with
SpotlightFS.

That said, we'll take a look at what's going on with the issue that you
reported.
