Auto-updater download progress hidden

When auto-updating Evolution Chamber, the window with the progress bar that 
displays the progress of the download is hidden (at least for me).  You have to 
move the main window out of the way in order to see it.  Also, the "Checking 
for updates..." window is still visible.  I think that it should go away once 
the download starts.

Attachment #1: This is what is shown after clicking "Yes" on the dialog that 
asks if you want to download the new version.
Attachement #2: You must move the main window out of the way in order to see 
the progress bar.

In the initial implementation the main window was never shown if an update was 
initiated. Some further changes must have influenced that behavior. Since the 
updater respawns the process we don't want it to happen after the user enters 
some data and potentially runs the computation.

Yeah, I think it makes more sense for the main window to never be shown.  The 
user doesn't want to start working on a build and then suddenly have the 
program quit on them.
