As a user I want to be reminded of events that are approaching even when I am not using the app, in order not to miss events.

Acceptance criteria

• [ ] Upcoming event notification pops up when user is not using app.
• [ ] Notifications appear a week before the event starts.
• [ ] Clicking on the x button on top right corner of the notification clears the notification from the screen.

Tasks

• [ ] Research on creating push notifications.
• [ ] Create x /close/clear button for the notification.
• [ ] Link already created date timer to notification modal.
• [ ] Render notification conditionally.

Hey Bill,

You want to display a message even when the app is not in use. Does that mean, this is like a push notification? If so, your wireframe is a bit confusing as it shows your app in the background. 🙂

I guess, there is a little mistake in your value proposition: As a user I want to be reminded of events that are approaching even when I am not using the app, in order to not miss events.

I think, you can be a bit more precise in your acceptance criteria. When does the notification pop up? A week in advance, a day before etc.? As well, you could mention, how the user can close the notification or if the user gets redirected to the app by clicking on the notification.
