Base doesn’t support Adblocking #3

The configuration of the base file does not block advertising.

Please can you share how you have set up base blocking? Please also share how you verified it does not work.

So I downloaded the Base and Adblock profiles for iOS and checked a news site with ads to see if they were blocked. There were ads with the Base profile and none with the Adblock profile. But I only checked for ads, not for tracker and/or malware blocking. @jbjorkang

I also checked the profile with https://dns.notjakob.com/tool.html and it says that the IPv4 primary DNS is 194.242.2.2 and the DoH server url is https://doh.mullvad.net/dns-query.

I have also downloaded the profile. Then I open https://d3ward.github.io/toolz/adblock.html.

I do not know why, but now it works.

I used this profile for a while and just realized that adblocking indeed is not working. Can this be fixed asap please?

Please just check that the websites you expect to be blocked are actually present in github.com/mullvad/dns-blocklists/

This has been partially resolved. The updated profiles have been pushed to this repository. The missing ones will be updated when they have been signed.
