Issue report

Operating system: macOS v12

App version: 2022.2

Issue description

In the latest stable version 2022.2 you released the "device management view:

Add device management to desktop app. This simplifies knowing which device is which and adds the option to log out other devices when there are already 5 connected when logging in.

And as you say in your blog post:

When you try to log in to an account that already has five registered devices on it, the app will show a list of all devices on the account

I do understand that only when there are 5 registered devices we get to a list of these devices, with the possibility to log out them.

However I would also have expected to be able to see all my connected devices even when this limit of 5 is not reached, without having to log in to my account on your website. It would be nice to have this view/list available at any time in the desktop app, or is there any reason not to?

Thank you :v:

The only reason is that we know of no good reason to be able to see it :) And keeping the design simple by not adding extra buttons without a solid reason.

What is your use case for wanting to see the device list/remove devices?

It can be added. we just build incrementally. Start simple and just add the stuff that turns out to be actually useful

That would save time instead of having to log in to the website.

We can already see our account's details, I thought it would be nice to see the list of connected devices as well. (and since, per se, the view kind of already exists within the app)

Save time doing what? Just see the names? In order to accomplish what?

I'm just interested. So we understand the reason

To see and delete the registered devices, directly from the desktop app.

I don't mean to say it is a really big needed feature, I just thought it would be nice to have the possibility of doing that directly from the app.
