[Feature request] Option to speed up or disable animation

Feature description

Right now it takes almost a second to do anything because of the animations. When changing multiple settings or settings that are buried (like multihop), waiting for multiple animations in the row can get almost infuriating.

Maybe I just have no patience but it doesn't feel right to arbitrarily keep the user waiting considering that there's no compute time to be obscured behind animations.

Proposal:

• Add an option to disable animations entirely
• Or speed them up more akin to iOS view transition animations

MacOS/iOS here, but it seems that it's possible to skip the animation by turning on "prefer reduced motion" in OS settings.
