Incomplete integration with kde plasma system tray

Is it a bug?

[X] I know this is an issue with the app, and contacting Mullvad support is not relevant.

Current Behavior

From the kde system tray preferences screen mullvad does not show any text or icon, which makes it impossible to identify it except by trial and error:

Expected Behavior

Icon and text visible, like any other app.

Steps to Reproduce

Display the “Status and notifications” popup Click the configure button -> Entries

Failure Logs

Operating system version

Arch linux (btw)

Mullvad VPN app version

2024.5 (Also some earlier ones, but I can't pinpoint. I have never seen it work.)

Hi, thanks for reporting this bug!

We do not test the app on KDE, which is probably why this has slipped through the cracks. We'll take a look at this :blush:

Hello again. We've decided against spending time fixing this issue right now. I'll leave this issue open for now so that other people can find it if they experience the same problem :blush:
