Currently you only have the option to dehighlight the entire segment, not specific highlights.

From MIIS Test:

The highlighting feature was very useful, but de-highlighting was a bit finicky. I couldn't accurately dehighlight a section without disabling highlighting for everything in the segment.

Some MIIS testers suggest an "undo" shortcut:

an "undo" function can be added for "clear all the highlighting" just in case of a wrong click on the pen mark.
