improve stock/fund lookup and other portfolio review feedback

other notes:

• emergency fund...wasn't easy to put in 6 months...without knowing the monthly expenses
• didn't handle the % portfolio entry easily. I entered $1 per 1%. But it would be nice to be able to adjust the portfolio ...how to handle the % scenario? (another issue is open tracking that)
• additional background -- didn't handle carriage returns well. copy/pasted from web.
• questions - no problem
• couldn't sign off at end "What I'm hoping for is to get to a much simpler plan that makes it easy to balance annual contributions... Thanks!" -- so i ended up putting it as 4th question.
