Wasn't sure how to fix right away. The problem was:

• bogle.tools only knows a small subset of fund tickers - mostly fidelity and vanguard funds. Other funds need to be taught by each user.
• user had a holding with ticker "RFETX", which was unknown to bogle.tools
• when the user entered a share quantity and a price, it didn't calculate the balance. This is because bogle.tools needs to calculate bond values differently from stocks/etfs/etc... So based on user feedback from a few months ago, we started requiring an Asset Type for each holding.

Possible solutions:

• pay thousands of dollars a year to have access to ticker/price info. not yet...we're trying to bootstrap these tools in a very low cost way.
• make the issue more discoverable to the user
• other?

Solution for now: make the issue more discoverable to the user For now, when a holding has an unknown asset type, a red asterisk will be displayed next to it. When you select (press or click) a holding with a red asterisk, the user will see a message "Asset type is unknown. Please edit, and choose asset type." At this point, they can click "Edit " button directly below that message, and choose the appropriate asset type.

Not perfect, but better.
