Give a longer description of what this PR addresses and why it's needed
The intension was to give the option to hide irrelevant edges when a node/set of nodes are selected. When none are selected, you can either see all nodes or hide all of them to be able to look at the nodes more clearly without having the edges make it look cluttered.
When NO nodes are selected ->toggle between displaying all edges clearly OR hide them all completely When some node is selected, it displays the linked edges clearly -> toggle between displaying all the other rest of the edges in a muted shade OR hide them completely
