The default RC rate and Expo settings supplied with the GUI are scary to fly with. The cyclic isn't sensitive enough in the mid part of the travel and is too aggressive near the extremes of travel.
Perhaps the rate should be in the range 30-50 and the expo 25-40 for new users. This will provide better control with less alarming extremes.
Defaults currently feel like you can nearly do flips but will not quite make it, and it's really sluggish near mid-stick.
