Still got my Multi-X quad with AVR8 so I tought I might just patch this up to working condition on OSX. Feel free to use it or toss it away.

If this is to be accepted, probably would be with a parameter to build for that OS, not replacing something that works for everyone else

It's 5 years old PR, might have helped someone but I haven't touched this for years. Can close this if it bothers someone.
