Sitting on head as a Pixie causes visual error for other players #63

When right-clicking on another player to sit on their head when having the Pixie Origin active, other players (including the one you're sitting on) can't see you on that player's head. Instead, the Pixie player is just seen standing at the point where they sat on the player, not moving. The Pixie player can correctly see them sitting upon the player's head as intended, but other players have no visual reference that this is the case. This is more than a visual bug because it allows the sat-on player to easily hit the Pixie that is meant to be safe sitting on their head. I've only tested this bug on an E4MC 'server', which could have something to do with it but I personally doubt it.

Please fix! This is a really funny interaction to have in multiplayer and it's a shame to see it broken.

Very strange! I doubt it has anything to do with a LAN environment, but I’ll look into it.

Which mod version is this?

goldrat1 commented 2 months ago

Latest version, v6.2.5 for Forge 1.20.1. Origins v1.10.0.7 I don't have many mods that this could be conflicting, only that could be would maybe be Create/Flywheel or Embeddium/Oculus as AFAIK they change rendering, other than that none of our other mods could realistically be conflicting with this.

I've been unable to recreate this even in a larger modpack on a dedicated server, so I suspect this may actually be a singleplayer-hosting issue.

Going to leave this open for now until that's confirmed, but if it is the cause there's not much I can do about it.
