Elmo's Number Adventure - graphics freeze at a specific spot #757

The bug occurs when you select medium difficulty mode from the main menu, once Elmo is at Sesame Street go to the right and talk to Ernie. You'll be taken to a new area where Ernie gives instructions for that level. As soon as he is done talking, the graphics and sound will freeze up, however it seems that the emulator itself is not locked up and you can still get the emulator to close.

This was tested on a raspberry pi 4 running RetroPie (built on raspbian/debian buster lite). I tried this game using GlideN64 and Gles2Rice plugins as well as Mupen64plus-Next and the bug occurs on all of them.

I suspect it's the same as this issue: https://github.com/mupen64plus/mupen64plus-core/issues/636

Can you try setting CountPerOp to 1?

loganmc10 commented 4 years ago

I tested CountPerOp=1 and it doesn't fix the issue. However setting CountPerOp=3 actually makes it freeze earlier. Very odd game

Ignore emulated TBL Exceptions (mupen64next core) makes the game not freeze
