1 year ago So this script works by querying things from the Growatt API, so in short - no.
HOWEVER........................
I also use this script heavily, so I'm working on an alternative. Here's some bullet points to cover what I've done so far (as a proof of concept):
- I've forked this repo and made a variant of it that reads in the 'current soc' from a csv file
- I've made Home Assistant output the 'current soc' to that file every time it changes
- This script runs every 10/15 minutes and consumes the current soc and outputs a different file containing: Target SoC, Charge Rate, Start Time, End Time, Grid Neutral Time (the last one of these is just because I find it interesting)
- Home Assistant consumes the output of this file and converts them all into sensors
- At 10pm each night Home Assistant sends a notification to my phone telling me what to configure my overnight charge to
The final bit:
- Add some logic to grott (I have no idea how hard this would be) to support pushing & receiving messages to/from both Growatt AND Grott Server (which is something the author of grott wrote so people could cut out the Growatt Servers completely)
- Grott server has a primitive setup for changing values on registers on the inverter so you can configure values
- Write some logic to allow HomeAssistant to push the correct values to the registers in order to configure the charge times automatically
The 'final bit' list is quite hard and I'm not really sure where to start, it's pointless trying to work out if Grott can publish/receive to/from Growatt and Grott Server without knowing that I can configure the correct registers to do dynamic configuration. So I may start there.

With all the goings on, what is the likeliness of getting this script working again? For me its important. I've gone through and got Grott all working for thanks for your work there. What are your thoughts on a solution for this script? Is it achievable?
