Multiple XBMC setups #12

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
At the moment XBMC Remote can only handle one setup of XBMC. It would be
nice if it allowed several different XBMC instances. This way I could use
my Android phone as a remote for the entire House and remote control all
XBMC machines.

That's planned somehow. Just need to figure out how code- and UI-wise.

Tbh i would say (for the UI part) make a menu entry next to settings and exit
that
says change "location" (or whatever you think fits best with change xbmc setup)
or
add change location within the settings menu.

because i think most users wont be using this function.

(unless you are gonna use it tons yourself, then just make a main menu entry
for it :P)

This sounds useful to me as well, i think it could hide under settings unless
you had
multiple xbmc setups configured.

This would be great, perhaps it could also be configured to allow for more than
one
setup per box - for example a local wifi setup and a remote setup. I have a
dyndns
router that redirects ports 8060 (web) and port 9777 (events, I think?) to the
xbox, so
I can access it without being local.
