Sprechgesang stems #17943

Your idea

It would be nice if the Master Palette stem(s) could be handled through the Properties tab "Note" section, analogously with the Head/Type mechanism.

Jojo suggested raising it as a feature request for sprechgesang stems, but it looks to me like they could all be candidates. Certainly Penderecki tremolo & Sprechgesang would be good for me with some current scores.

Problem to be solved

Currently the stem symbols have to be added & manipulated manually. They affix themselves upright and to the left of all noteheads, in all voices, and they do not show the stem flags (nor presumably recognise the tempo) nor do they replace the existing stems. They don't flip orientation automatically either.

So all in all, it's a huge amount of manual work & it makes resulting score a little fragile. Any other changes & they will likely need to be re-done.

Prior art

Sibelius allegedly can handle it, but I have no direct knowledge of that.

Stems from https://musescore.org/en/node/347445 and/or https://musescore.org/en/node/350940 ;-)

As stems are drawn in MuseScore rather than taken from SMuFL, I guess that x through the stem would need to get drawn too, similar to the slash for acciaccaturas.
