@marakelland, thanks for reporting.
This is going to be a tricky one to fix due to the need to find somebody with experience in braille hardware, Qt, and macOS development. Everyone I know has expertise in at most 2 of those fields so we may need help from the community.
@marakelland, does the braille display usually show anything in MuseScore on macOS? E.g. if focus is on the score or in a text area, does the braille display show what the screen reader is saying?
Hello Peter- Yes, it shows what the screenreader is saying. Just no music notation. Well, it even reads out the dot patterns in the Sim braille but that’s not what we want. Pleasure for reporting.

Your idea
I wish to make you aware of the following: Braille output is not working on MacOS Ventura and muse score 4.1 beta. I am using a Brailliant BI 40 X connected to my Mac over Bluetooth or USB. The braille tab is present and the screen reader is reading dot combinations out but I cannot see these on the braille display as braille notation.
Problem to be solved
Braille output missing with Voice over on macOS.
Prior art
no.
Additional context
Let me know if I can be of any more help or need to have a virtual chat with somebody to demo this.
