KiloHearts plugins not working #19133

Bug description

Plugins downloaded from the free kilohearts suite (notably the pitch shifter plugin i was interested in, but it seems to be all plugins from them https://kilohearts.com/products/pitch_shifter ) do not work as intended. There seems to be some slight modification to the sound, but nothing related to what the plugin is supposed to do.

The plugins do seem to work as intended in Audacity and other DAWs.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Download and install the kilohearts suite especially the pitch shifter plugin ( https://kilohearts.com/products/pitch_shifter )
  2. load them into musescore and apply them to instruments
  3. notice touching the knobs or changing the parameters doesn't do anything

same problem, in fact they do 'work' but you'll need to reload the project in order to make anything you changed in effect. Many of my plugins are suffering from this problem, and here is a free ampsim for example: Link, need to fill in email to download

OK, i just tried it and i can confirm that you need to reload the project every time you make a change to some VST if you want it to do anything... My guess is that this is a problem for many VST. i tried to see if that would solve this issue i had https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/16267 but unfortunately musescore doesn't want to save any change to this VST...
