Funny enough our bass currently support none of these, but can play back palm mutes from guitar palette...
I imagine that, to support every kind of notation dialects, eventually we'll need a system to let user map anything on the note to any articulation, even support simple logic operators, e.g. IF noteText == "T"
OR noteText == "S"
AND noteheadType == "cross"
THEN noteArticulation = "eBass.ghostSlap"
.
Anyway, I suppose things for bass are already on the horizon, since next update will be all about guitars; or probably after drums.
I have the Musesounds Guitar Volume 1 which has an Electric Bass but we should add the Slap feature to it so it would work.
Your idea
It seems notation for slap and pop is missing in Musescore 4. Typically, the symbols "S" and "P" are used for slap and pop, respectively. However, other systems also exist.
Problem to be solved
Add notation for slap and pop, I'm sure myself and anybody else composing/transcribing bass lines would benefit from this.
Prior art
This is how the online notation app Soundslice implements it.
