Second Window for Docking Panels #20680

Your idea

The ability to create a second, empty window for MuseScore in which panels like the mixer, pallets, etc. could be docked would allow for MuseScore to be used with multiple screens.

Problem to be solved

When trying to put panels together on a second screen, the inability to dock them makes alignment difficult, and since undocked panels are rendered at a lower resolution, it leaves the UI looking unappealing. Extending the single window doesn't work, as docked panels extend the length of the window, thus prohibiting you from creating a layout with a clean score on one screen and all necessary panels on the other, as well as many other possible layouts.

That sounds a bit like a bug... I don't think that should happen! Could you elaborate about the circumstances in which this occurs (e.g. monitor resolution) and post a screenshot where the difference is visible?

For the rest, this feature request makes sense to me indeed. I think it would be possible to implement this option with the docking system that we currently use.

Oh wait, never mind, I hadn't seen #20681 yet :)
