Glissandi works in general, but is it possible the notes you are trying to attach to are tied? In that case it’s a known issue - see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/20570
if you are seeing issues with normal (untied) notes as well in one of your scores, please ZIP and attach it and say which note is giving you trouble.
the xylophone gliss worked last update but not now
I can confirm the issue on this score. Seems to be specific to the xylophone and other mallet instruments, and occurs both with Muse Sounds and MS Basic. As such, I wonder if it's related somehow to https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/20579
I don't know if it's related, but since the latest MuseSounds update, glissandos are broken for me– there is sound, but it's irregular, fragmented, and too quiet. This seems to be the case for all wind, string, and brass instruments, although piano does not appear to be affected.
I have the same issue. Any glissandi aren't playing for me with only mallet percussion. If I try winds and strings instruments for example they work. Glissandi also have really weird behavior for me. Using: MU4.2 and Muse Sounds

Update: If I change the instrument to f.e. Flute and then in "Sound" in the mixer panel if I change that to xylophone I do hear the glisses. So it really is just something odd with tuned percussion instruments :/
Glissandi don't work for tuned percussion for me either, but they're also broken for just about much every other instrument (keyboards seem to be spared). This has only been a problem since I updated to 4.2, but I believe at the same time, my MuseSounds automatically updated.
PLEASE NOTE: Glissando playback works properly for all instruments when using other soundfonts (MS Basic, Garritan, etc.), and MuseSounds glissandi are still broken when I delete Musescore 4.2 and re-install 4.1 (the last version I used with working glissandi). This leads me to believe that the issue is with MuseSounds and not MuseScore itself– but I can't seem to find any way to uninstall the MuseSounds update and install the previous version.
Can someone please help me? I don't know what to do
This issue here is about a problem that does seem to be specific to pitched percussion and affects both Muse Sounds and MS Basic. Sounds like you have a separate problem with other instruments in Muse Sounds only. Are these glissandi that have been set to portamento? I can confirm that this seems to no longer work in Muse Sounds in cases where I think it used to (perhaps in an earlier Muse Sampler) but cannot be positive. I'll open an issue for that separately.
@bkunda it doesn't look like this issue - failure of any glissandi on pitch percussion - has been prioritized yet, but it isdefinitely real. Between this, the failure of portamento in Muse Sounds, and the failure of glissandi on tied notes, it seems that collectively glissando playback is fairly broken, but it's hard to tell if these regressions are actually related or not.
@matthewreadbass can we please look into this one fairly soon? Happy to assist with trouble shooting if required.
To be clear, the original problem described here affects both MS Basic and Muse Sounds and is specific to mallet percussion (see score attached by the OP in a subsequent comment - https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/20685#issuecomment-1869093048).
However, the secondary problem identified in the comment https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/20685#issuecomment-1884198015 is Muse Sounds only but affects all instruments as far as I can tell. I did go ahead an open a separate issue for that - see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/20925. I still cannot prove these particular glissandi worked in previous Muse Sounds / Muse Sampler versions, but I do have a recollection that some portamento glissandi used to work and I can't find any that do now.
For me Xylophone works in 4.1.1, does not work in 4.2.1. Both Muse Sounds and MS Basic
If there is indeed a separate Muse Sounds issue here please log it separately so this can be focused on the MuseScore problem.
